12th April 2008 Windsurfing: Hayling Island Wind Direction: W-NW Wind Stength: F3-6 Surf / Sea State: Chop Air Temperature: 10 Sea Temperature: 10 Weather: Mixed! Max Speed: Distance Covered: Finally arrived at Hayling, after visiting Juan and babies, and also Pagham where the wind was offshore when I got there thru the hail. The sun, clouds, wind, rain, hail - all passed in turn and turn again. Rigged 4.7 cos it was pretty windy, but on 102l in case it dropped... so it did. Messed around rigging other kit but heart not in it... and then the wind came to me! Spent a happy hour, including one planing gybe :-) Feet a bit dazed by all of this, and decided to give up. So I stopped, happy, in the sun, and thanks to the Dr for helping with the stuck mast (and the two booms trick!) |
